When I mentioned AAC audio earlier, here's Jay Lippman's workaround for this well-documented problem. There are workarounds if you really need those features but not a deal breaker for everything thing else DaVinci Resolve delivers. Animated GIF support, cannot import/export MPEG-1/2 files and lousy AAC audio. Be mindful Blackmagic has taken the whole film industry approach so features consumer grade NLEs have DaVinci Resolve will not. Lifetime license, GPU acceleration, Noise Reduction, External Plugins support, etc.
Purchasing the Studio version was a smart move. Glad I could help. Blackmagic is leading the way in becoming the next industry standard NLE by migrating more Apple and Adobe users with it's keyboard and shortcuts integration allowing an easier transition.
